It's been a good tournament so far, but it would've been nice to have seen a couple of upsets. Spain look the most impressive so far given that they were up against Croatia, when the other "bigger" teams have probably faced slightly "weaker" opposition. Yamine Lamal is the definition of a child prodigy. Germany look good too, and have pacey wingers to bring off the bench if needed.
Anyway onto England. And at the end of the day three points is all that was needed. Performances don't really matter in tournament football. No one remembers teams that play well and lose. Jude continues to live up to the hype. Rice was solid, as was Guehi and Saka. Foden and Kane were disappointing. -

This is a tournament full of long range screamers. Spain continue to look the best team in the tournament so far. Germany look very strong too. I've been really impressed with the fight from Albania.
The type of tough decisions that Southgate made to leave Grealish and Rashford out of the squad, will need to continue in terms of who leave out of the starting eleven in the next match. The team lacks pace and width in attack. Watkins looked impressive in his substitute appearance and Guehi looked solid at the back. -

Prior to the start of the tournament, Group B & Group D looked the toughest, and true to form they've provided the most entertaining games. What has gone under the radar is how good Austria look. Ragnick has coached them brilliantly.
The main thing was always getting out of the group stage and Southgate has at least done that, whilst not a easily as everyone would've wanted. Being in the easier side of the knockout round draw could be fruitful though. -

Spain continue to live up to my initial assessment of being the most impressive team in the tournament. France, Germany and Portugal haven't hit top gear. Switzerland and Austria are the dark horses.
Jude stepped up when needed. Results are all that matters. The biggest issue that's gone under the radar all pre and during the tournament is Southgate selecting only one left back, that's always injured.
