  Ah man what an unfortunate end to the game, an own goal had to be the worst outcome I cant imagine how Laura Basset feels. The funny thing is as soon as i saw that cross coming in i knew they were gonna score but just not in that fashion. Well done Lionesses for getting that far anyhow

  Well, a final congratulations for the womens team they beat germany who are arguably the second best team in the world 1-0 yesterday in the third place ply offs. the match went all the way into half time where Fara Williams scored a penalty which led our girls to victory

  I think the third place game in these tournaments is just for statistics or whatever. Massive waste of time in my opinion but i suppose if it makes the third place team feel a bit better for not being in the final then so be it. They might be happy about getting some kind of medal too.
  Shocking the way that game against Japan went though. Sounds like a Spurs game.. early penalty, early red card, players who dont score scoring against us, players who have just got back from injury scoring against us.. the odd own goal.. so on. Sickening.

  I think it was a horrible way to go out scoring an own goal, I watched the entire game although it was late at night and England's women football team really should of won that game, They were all over them just a shame really.
  Also I thought it was pretty boring that 2 of the 3 goals were pens. They have potential though
