The England situation at the moment could be compared to Bobby Robson in 1988 after the Euros. England were diabolical in Germany during that tournament and his job was on the line, then came Italia 90 and he was hailed as a hero. Gascoigne and Platt, two of England's stars of that tournament, didn't feature in Germany but shone two years later. Hodgson can only be judged after the next big dance! -

It does sort of seem a bit harsh to criticise, but I think people are just getting fed up with meh performances. When was the last time we looked properly convincing?
Agree that the future looks fairly promising, but not sure Hodgson is the man to make the youngsters reach their potential. Saying that, not sure who'd do a better job either.

Would be nice if we actually do well for a change.. but i fully expect us to suck hard. Shame really :( Hodgson will no doubt be sacked after the next tournament and i dont expect a single England player to stand out. Maybe im so negative from my time supporting a shitty England team and also a shitty Tottenham team over the years :P

it would be nice,also it would be nice if the manager says to them go and play to our strengths not worry about theirs, ;) we will have players standing out,WILSHERE,OXLADE ,WALCOTT AND GIBBS :P -
