Poor show from England today, lucky to make it as far as 200, so 1 game all now in the one-days.
Have to say Bangladesh were looking decent in the first game too until their ridiculously fast collapse.

I wonder what was said to Jos Buttler as he was walking off after his dismissal, he certainly didn't take it well. Could be a sign of a heated series to come, a bit of spice.

I expect there will be some heavy security around the team off field, saw them on the news doing a drill with the police. Hopefully that won't become a big issue.

    Next ODI on Wednesday 12th.
First test 20th Oct, second test 28th Oct.

I think Buttler just reacted to the actions of the Bangladesh team rather than anything said to him. I on't mind Buttler's reaction, shows he is a captain wanting to do well for his team. Bangladesh in Bangladesh is never going to be an easy series so hopefully they can fight well.

There was a new record set today by England. They had 10 reviews in one innings, first time that's happened in a test.

Moeen Ali survived 5 reviews, including 3 in 6 deliveries. Finally out for 68 for real.

So Bangladesh trail by 72 runs at the end of day 2.

    England 293 (105.5 overs)
    Bangladesh 221-5 (74 overs)

Cliffhanger ending to the fourth day. Bangladesh just need 33 more runs with 2 wickets left.
Too bad it starts so early in the morning, with the time difference, it shouldn't take long to decide either way once they get going again.
But only 2 tests in a series isn't really satisfactory, whoever wins the first one can't lose the series.

So England keep the 100% test record against Bangladesh, winning by 22 runs.
Bangladesh have never beaten England in 9 attempts, but this was their closest.
A short days play, only 4 overs needed.
    Second test starts on Friday.

The second test has been a different story.
England finished the first innings with a lead of 24.
Bangladesh then stretched out a target of 272 for England to need to win, but this would have been a record chase total.
However, they had never lost to Bangladesh, so something had to give.
England looked comfortable at 100-0, just a matter of counting down the runs.
Then what do you know, an almighty collapse to be all out for 164, and history made by Bangladesh.
Bangladesh's 19 year-old bowler Mehedi took 6-77, after taking another 6 in the first innings.

On to India next, a 5 test series starting on wed 9th November.
If this was their warm-up, it's given them something to think about, before the main event.
