  the thing is though download has never said it is a purely metal festival, they've always had stuff like this since it started up again

  They go there because they get paid - simple as that.
  
  I know what you're saying though - I hate those sort of bands and their faggy haired fashioncore fans. I think Bloodstock is the only UK festival for me this year - Alice Cooper, Behemoth, Deicide, Watain, CoC, Dimmu Borgir, Anvil amongst those already announced, so it's a better line-up and £75 cheaper!

  Download has always been a Rock/Metal festival, not for pussy bands like that, to satisfy a bunch of repulsive scene kids.

  That line up looks really good. I want to see which bands sonisphere announce before i decide where i am gonna go. I mean why the fuck have Machine Head gone to download, they are all pussies there.

  Well download has always had a variety, but up until now it was generally vairety of different kinds of rock or metal, what they are showing with the recent announcements is that they have clearly lost all sense of taste this is the first time i`ve not wanted to go download.

  They have had variety, but in my eyes a bad way, i hated the bands there last year. This year is the only time true metal bands are going to be there, and it is the only year i have actually wanted to go.

  hey yeh download, iv bin everyyear for the past 3 years runnin, its wicked, theres no other festival like it, unfortunatly 2 years back i think it was guns n roses droped out, i havent bin sonisphere, but i wanna get around to that definatly its up n cumin

  download has never been just a rock metal festical, it's always just been alternative/various music, every year since it started back up they've had a few dance, rap, emo bands etc... so this years line up is no surprise. all that's happened this year is that they've advertised some of the different types of music more than other years.
  
  as someone else said if you want a purely metal festival than you need to go to somewhere like bloodstock, download isn't and never will be a purely rock/metal festival

  Point taken, still dislike all the pussy bands there though. Especially when a lot of them TRY and class themselves as metal bands. Makes me feel sick.
