  Aitor Karanka was favourite for the Palace job, but it looks like he's off to Middlesborough instead.

  The contenders for this job now make interesting reading, Dan Petrescu, Sean Dyche, Chris Coleman (unlikely), Tony Pulis, Karl Robinson, Ian Dowie?? Hard to pick an ideal candidate from that list in my opinion

  Dyche would be good, but if he took it he could find himself in the Championship next year watching his Burnley side play in the Prem. I'd stay put if I were him.

  Yeah Burnley are flying right now, it's daunting as a Leeds fan as we are challenging for the play offs but QPR, Burnley and Leicester look streets ahead of the league and one of them will be in play offs, yikes

  They can be but you would rather have a weaker team in 3rd place when you are looking at a 6th place finish potentially. Burnley might fall back but can't see QPR falling back at all. Never mind playoffs being a lottery, the whole league is

  They're in talks with Tony Pulis again apparently, advanced ones at that, after being unimpressed with the quality of candidates up until now. Though surely that would include Pulis first time around?

  Pulis would be an uninspired appointment but lets be honest does anyone look at Palace as a side that would come back up if they went down this season?? I don't at all

  Didn't think they'd come up in the first place to be honest. But you don't ever know with the Championship, funny old league...
