  We have put this into place to keep out spammers and trolls that constantly attempt to ruin the chat experience for other users.

  makes sense. although when some girls see you have credit , they plead or demand you call them. one in particular whose room I won't enter.  if no credits she virtually belittles you for being a freeloader- 'no money so piss off', if have credit - 'spend on me or piss off'. but anything to keep trolls out is a good thing. fair enough

  I like the credited chat approach, as what spammer in their right mind, would pay to spam, lol, not sure if it affects VIP as well?
  
  A better idea could be, if you have to top-up your account, maybe every 3-4 weeks, as that would show you intend using the site properly, and could chat with zero credits, until you need/want to top-up again?

  I agree with Outlaw87 being a VIP should have this privilege, as if the VIP has spent their monthly credits it would be unfair as they top up every month. This would work alongside any other method.

  To be fair if it puts off the spammer and free loaders . Can only be a good thing , right ??

  I make no bones about it, I don't have a credited a/c and wouldn't want one. It can certainly lead to having a debt problem, rather like  gambling. Besides, I wouldn't need to have the fix of talking to the babes, but do enjoy the banter that goes with the Rampant chat.
