  Who do you think are the coolest characters on tv, old or new?
  doesn`t matter if the show is still going or not.
  
  I`ve always thought that Spike from Buffy was and still is one of the coolest characters on tv, just because he is.
  And of course Mal reynolds from Firefly.

  I dunno if he qualifies as 'cool' but I think Jack Bauer from 24 is the character I love to watch the most and almost wish that I was in real life lol I would object to having Elisha Cuthbert as a daughter though, wife would be preferable :-P

  There are probably many people who disagree with me on this, but in regards to the A-Team i never thought B A baracus or however you spell it was a cool character, i just find him deeply annoying.
  
  I`ve never watched Sons of Anarchy or the Wire so i can`t comment on those characters, but i agree with about Darryl he is an excellent character, my second favourite character on Walking Dead, the first would have to be Rick who is also a cool character.

  will was defenetly a cool character of old but nowadays you cant go past sheldon from the big bang theory for a supposed 'nerd' he is pretty awesome.

  I think Spike from Buffy is one of my contenders for the crown of coolest, also some animated iterations of the joker have been really good. Hmmm, who else? Richard Dean Anderson's character from stargate.

  I knew someone had to agree with me about spike, just because he is very cool, i believe you mean jack o neil, that was the name of richard dean anderson's character,
  and that reminded me of one teal'c from stargate sg1, and ronon dex from stargate atlantis.

  Jack Bauer does qualify as cool, no doubt about it.
  And there is no almost wishing I was him, I do wish I was him.
  But you are right, Kim (Elisha Cuthbert) as a daughter would be a downer.
  Now I have to decided between being Jack or having Kim... Dam it.

  Old days I used to think Spike was pretty good too.
  
  More recently it's between Jack Donaghy from 30 Rock or George Christopher from Bored to Death.
