Conversion therapy group founder comes out as gay & apologise for being a prick!

The founder of one of the biggest conversion therapy programs in the world has just come out as being gay, despite his role in the anti-LGBT organisation that spanned the last 20 years. What a fucking pleb. 

 

51-year-old McKrae Game founded the Hope for Wholeness centre in South Carolina, where he and his minions would basically tell gay people that their orientation was wrong, bad, sinful, evil and that they could ‘cure’ themselves with his conversion therapy. This went on for two decades before McKrae finally announced he was in fact gay, and apologised in a Facebook post, saying “I was wrong. Please forgive me”. Nope, get fucked! Here are some of the other bits from his post: 
 

I certainly regret where I caused harm.

Promoting the triadic model that blamed parents and conversion or prayer therapy, that made many people believe that their orientation was wrong, bad, sinful, evil, and worse that they could change was absolutely harmful.

It’s all in my past, but many, way TOO MANY continue believing that there is something wrong with themselves and wrong with people that choose to live their lives honestly and open as gay, lesbian, trans, etc.

Learn to love yourself and others.The very harmful cycle of self shame and condemnation has to stop. It’s literally killing people!! Learn to love. Learn to love yourself and others.

It’s nuts to think that he wasted the best years of his life promoting homophobia and hate when he could’ve been getting a faceful of hot willy and living his best life. Let’s hope something good comes from this mess and that more gay and LGBTQ people continue to come out and be proud of who they are.
