Chat show guest suddenly dies during live filming

Filming live is always pretty risky - someone could accidentally drop the F-bomb or whip out their dick, landing the production company with a hefty fine. One thing most producers probably aren't too concerned about during filming is someone popping their clogs live on air. I mean, what are the chances?! While it is rare, it's not impossible, as it recently happened during the filming of a chat show in India.



81-year-old Rita Jitendra was a guest on Good Morning J & K with host Zahid Mukhtar when she suddenly seemed to lose consciousness, take a few gasps of breath and just keel over right there on TV. Here is the footage:



Here's what the host had to say about it:

She was telling us a few interesting things about her life and was looking absolutely normal.But suddenly she stopped talking and began having hiccups. We had to cut the interview and switch to a documentary to attend to her and take her to hospital.Rita had a great association with television and her last words were on how she had started doing the dramas.It’s shocking for us as this is the first incident in the Doordarshan history when any guest died in a live program.As part of the TV profession, we managed to run the whole programme to keep the broadcast uninterrupted. 

I mean yeah, don't stop the show or anything. It's not like somebody died. Jeez, that shit is cold.

Back in the early days of the babeshows, there was a show called Babecast which featured some "legends" of The Daily Sport. One of which was Jane Whitehouse. One night Jane got a touch too sozzled and fell asleep while taking calls, I think Grand Duke must have been on her line. Rather than wake her up producers thought best to zoom in on her vital areas and lived up to the mantra, "The show must go on!" Absolute heroes.

I remember that but don't think it was a one off as I remember her being a little worse for wear and during her off screen break she stripped completely naked and came back on to the screen dancing about and rambling incoherently! Think Rebecca Smyth had to persuade her to get off screen and try and sober up which failed miserably and Jane wasn't seen for a while!
