  SA make 230-6 off their 31 overs... Now if Gayle can get going it may be a belter of a match, if the rain keeps away!
  Maybe Duckworth / Lewis will be needed...

  Well, I'm glad they had the best part of a game but how unlucky or was it stupidity by Pollard to get out, to end up with a Duckworth / Lewis par score IE a tie !!! and therefore a point each and South Africa go through.
  
  A bit of a dead rubber today with India playing Pakistan, as India already through and Pakistan on 'nil point'... so just a bit of pride at stake today.

  Shock horror!! as play suspended due to rain at Edgbaston with Pakistan 50 for 1 off 12 overs...
  
  Just a short stoppage though as the sun pokes it's head again shortly afterwards...
  
  and they're back off the field again at 70 for 3 from 19 overs with more rain...

  India to win the champions trophy! They look solid in every aspect of the game from batting, bowling to fielding. If any weakness had to be pointed out it would have to be in the bowling department. They have conceded too many cheap runs but then again so has many other teams. The batting line up is world class though it will take something special to beat India this tourney. And a lot of teams look poor.

  lol, well they'll have to beat New Zealand and the weather today to make sure, otherwise we'll become Aussie supporters tomorrow....
  Play just started at Cardiff, it's now a 24 over a side game and New Zealand won the toss and put England in to bat, and they are currently 16 for 0 wicket at the end of the 2nd over.
  
  Just as I write, first ball of the third over and Bell is out, caught...
  
  and Trott gives another sitter of catch to the other McCullum in the 4th over !!!! now 25 for 2 and in walks Joe Root...
  
  Nathan McCullum just drops another catch, off Cook this time, I hope the serious betting fraud office will look into this lol... England 113 for 3 after 16 overs.
  
  Well, what a load of bollox as England can't even bat out 24 overs... 169 all out with 3 balls to go...

  Thank goodness for England's bowlers, as their batting gets them into all sorts of pickles. They were lucky yesterday with the weather, further up the valley it was raining more than down at the ground, but they're through, that's all that counts, but India looks the class act in this tournament, but have they peeked too soon???
