  regarding Brock and his boxing. its only going to impeove if he has a proper boxing coach like Freddie Roach. Xtreme Coutoure specialise with Dirty Boxing from the clinch which dosent mesh with Brocks style at all! He has HAM Hocks for hands and an awsome reach advantage over most Heavyweights that a boxing coach could get him to develope a good standard Jab.
  
  his hands are so big that he wouldnt have to land the jab clean, just throw the bloody thing. its amazing that a guy that looks like He-man should look so pretrified when he gets hit!
  
  if he gets Overeem down, hammerfists will win the day. for Overeem to win, he'll just have to box. he is big enough to box on the back foot and jab brocks head off! once Brock gets desperate and starts to lunge for ther takedown watch for the knee to the face!
  
  brock has said its the first time in 6 years he has been healthy, so its gonna be interesting. neither have a hope against Junior tho.

  you don't think overeem has a hope against junior? i don't know about that one he's so freaking strong its ridiculous
  
  but that is good point actually gsp did improve his jab 1000000x with roach and while i don't think brock is as quick a learner as gsp its true he cant have the most elite boxing coaches over at his camps
  
  i still think overeem has a good chance to win tho EVEN if he gets taken down
  
  actually just watched ultimate fighter and completely forgot even before jones or lesnar, we get miller vs bisping on the 3rd i'll be watching that one for sure

  UFC, biggest promotion for MMA, is on ESPN early Sunday mornings as its from the states. unless its a rare UK event then 8pm Saturday evening.
  
  BAMMA is on Syfy channel. Thats the biggest promotion in Europe at the moment and is from the UK. These shows will be on Saturdays with the next event December 10
  
  Check out MMA online as there is so much content on various Video clip sites to get a feel for it.
  
  On FX the UFC, Ultimate Fighter programme is on Thursday 11pm. This follows a bunch of fighters living in the same house, fighting each other until 1 is crowned the Ultimate Fighter and wins a 6 figure contract with the UFC
  
  Its a good show to watch for a noob!

  The biggest problem Brock has is he does'nt seem to know what to do when he gets hit. He seems to just try to curl up and hope the guy will stop. If carwin had remained calm he would have been able to finish him in the first round but instead he just threw too many punches that were'nt connecting and was exhausted by the end of the round. When valesquez took brock down he took his time and picked his punches.
  
  The ultimate fighter is worth a look. The first season seems to have been the most sucessful as most of the fighters still have UFC contracts. The bonnar griffin finale was probably a major help in getting the UFC to sports fans in general as opposed to just the mma fans

  Carwin's cardio is shite! Thats the only reason he lost.
  
  Brock has to learn basic boxing! Like i have said, 1 or 2 months with Freddie Roach would sort him out no end! Just look at GSP's jab before he fought Koschek and then his jab in the Koschek fight! and thats just 3 weeks work! If brock had a couple of months learn basic tecnique it would help him develope.
  
  as long as he stays in his ranch and keeps the pool of wrestlers he has around him he will struggle! he is the reverse of most UK fighters.
  
  we have great stand up but poor wrestling, he has great wrestling but shocking standup!

  yea that's what dana white said, they asked him when the ufc was struggling and the owners were telling him to sell it etc what was it that turned it around and he said it was the ultimate fighter reality tv show, i've watched most of them since the first season it's a pretty good show
  
  and it is a shame about carwin, i don't think he's coming back for a title shot most likely now

  I'd say Carwin would need a few big victories before he has any chance of a title shot. Dos Santos gave him a bad beating in his last fight and exposed a lot of holes in his stand up. One of his main problems is he's always trying for the one punch knock out, which was very successful in his early fights but he was always going to need more once he came up against the top guys in the division.
  
  I think brock thought that he would be able to just dominate everyone with his wrestling and did'nt realise what a difference all the other areas would have on a fight. You'd have to admire him for leaving the WWE to go the UFC and I'd say he's had a few very substantial offers to return. he does seem determined to suceed in MMA but he's probable left it too late in his career as theres just too much too learn. It will be interesting to see how he does against overeem and whether he's fully recovered from his illness.

  yea definitely admire him going into mma, cuz he can make enough money in pro wrestling no doubt about that at all. to be honest, i think he may return to pro wrestling in a few years from now when he doesn't have the body for mma anymore. thay guy is such a monster though, i always see him and think, damn what if he started doing mma at jon jones' age or earlier
