  As the title says I think I'm a little obsessed with steel box versions of films released on Blu-Ray!
  
  The film in most cases is not any different but i love the way the box looks and feels, is that really sad of me?

  I`m actually just like you on that one mate, i always buy the steel box versions of films if i can, so far i`ve got Thor, Kick Ass and The Expendables in Steel box cases (hoping they`ll release Avengers in a steel case when that`s out too and i can get that), just because i like them and personally i think they just look better on a shelf (so if you are really sad for that then so am i lol)

  I would have Thor in steel box but i'm not sure the 3D version comes in a Steel box, and seeing as i've bought it twice already (once when it came out and once after I got my 3D monitor) i don't want to find out at this point that i fail :)

  I have just ordered Terminator 1 & Preditor 1 in steel box.

  I actually don`t think you can get the 3D version of Thor in a steel box case, i got the 2d one. Another film i would have got in a steel case (and kind of wish i had ) was the Captain America Steel case, had a cool design on the front as well but there was too big a price difference that i couldn`t afford at the time, is should have just got it.

  I have to say i've very impressed with Predator on blu ray, its very sharp and the Steel Box is very sexy. There's a good few extras too

  Well i will soon have another steel box case blu ray (well i say soon it's actually september) just yesterday pre ordered Avengers Assemble on blu ray in a steel case (no idea what the case looks like yet not that much info on it, only been available to pre order for a few days) but as soon as it's out that will make it the 4th steel case film i own.

  i say it's a waste of money because i think things like that nowadays are just a lot more difficult to value, especially when it's superhero type films, because my valuing of them will go down v quickly since so many of them are coming out every year. maybe for a great quality classic film it wouldn't be such a waste, but even then it's hard to see value in it because all films nowadays are so easy to download and get netflix and such, putting a video/DVD in isn't the experience it used to be so the packaging isn't as much of a big deal to me either

  I'm much the same, love ultimate editions in big steel boxes, but it's so rare that I can afford them, the Jurassic park one was immense. Think there may have been a battle star gallactica one too.

  True they can quite expensive, that's why i personally only tend to buy either the films i've seen before and really like or the films i really want to watch in the steel case versions, more worth it then, they have actually released a picture for what the steel case Avengers blu ray looks like, looks very cool as well, i actually want it now lol.

  I bet they still don't release a 3d steel box version /cry more :(
