Bikram Yoga ‘creator’ responds to scathing new Netflix documentary

I’ve never personally been into yoga but when I saw the Netflix documentary trailer for ‘Bikram: Yogi, Guru, Predator’, I figured it looked pretty interesting. Little did I know that it would be one of the best documentaries I’d seen in ages.
The documentary tells the story of the man who made Bikram Yoga famous but he’s not the peaceful, loving soul you might expect, as you’ll come to find out that the yoga guru actually has a whole bunch of sexual abuse allegations against him.
For those who haven’t yet seen the documentary, Bikram Choudhury launched Bikram Yoga in the 1970s, claiming he had invented it but as the documentary reveals, he actually just stole the whole concept from his guru Bishnu Charan Ghosh. However, thieving someone else’s idea isn’t the worst thing he’s done, as during the documentary Bikram is filmed being an absolute prick to his students, calling them fat and pathetic. You’ll also hear stories from the women he abused over the years and how he used his status as a guru to complete brainwash these woman.
It’s pretty horrifying stuff when you see it. It’s not just the women he manipulated either, it seems like he had everyone fooled and under his spell. It was like a *****. As you’ll see later in the documentary, Bikram has since fled the US after his former attorney Micki Jafa-Bodden won a discrimination and harassment lawsuit against him and a jury awarded her $7 million, which he’s still yet to pay a penny of. Apparently he skipped off Mexico where he’s been setting up more teacher training courses for Bikram yoga so it looks like the slimy little fucker had gotten off scot-free.
Being the massive narcissistic piece of shot he is, Bikram did tune in to watch his own documentary and he had this to say about it through his publicist, Richard Hillgrove:
Quote:Bikram Choudhury totally refutes all the allegations of sexual misconduct and harassment presented in the film and is deeply upset by the continued character assassination.
Bikram believes that the concerted effort by money-motivated lawyers to proactively send letters to a database of all his clients, offering people free legal representation and the promise of $1 million insurance policy pay-outs is the primary motivation for this reputational catastrophe.
Bikram believes the Netflix film is nothing more than a repetition of old material.
His publicist continues:

I hate to say it, but after seeing the documentary I did have the urge to try Bikram yoga. Thankfully though I decided against it when I realised that my money would just be going to that nasty rapey little cunt. I just can’t believe he’s still protesting his innocence. You can see in the documentary what a creepy weirdo he is. Plus the fact that four of the women who accused Bikram have been paid off out of court, just shows what a lying scumbag he is. You don’t go paying people off of you’re innocent, do you? He’s an absolute animal!
I totally recommend watching the Netflix documentary ‘Bikram: Yogi, Guru, Predator’ of you want to be engrossed in something truly gripping. I just hope he gets his comeuppance one day. -
