  Final Fantasy 7 and Final Fantasy 10, by a clear mile and half.
  The new Elder Scrolls games are good and all that, but I get a lot more bored playing them than I do the FF's

  Elder Scrolls 5 was ruined on the PS by its memory bug which meant when you got anywhere in the game the engine would slow down considerably to an almost unplayable state ... did they ever fix that?

  i don't know about PS, but on PC it was freaking amazing, it was pretty much a dream rpg, had basically everything. fukk it even just walking around the place was cool, it's huge and everywhere you go something to do

  I love a lot of RPGs but for me it's final fantasy vii all the way, love the whole series but that one is my absolute favourite! Could use a remake for modern graphics.

  final fanasy vii is easily the best of all time. The story, variety of things to do, the sheer size and depth. Even breeding chocobos was great. I had a golden one called lenny.

  For me the best RPG is a game online not much famous but that for me is a very good game:Combat Arms! It is a online game where you are a militar that with various scenary you can combat with another people that are online or only with your friends with a weapon on start but during the game you can change your weapon taking another from an opponent that you kill .. I recommend it!;)

  was never a fan of the FF games. to be honest i wasnt a fan of rpg's at all till elder scrolls oblivion and i became a fan of the action rpg after that mass effect and then skyrim. i just cant do turn based rpg's, as i have absolutely zero patience for setting up attacks scrolling through multiple menus only to have the action play out without my input. i feel the same for the xcom games also. just not my cuppa char.

  Gotta love Final Fantasy... I payed 7-11 and would say 7 & 9 were the best. But 7 is just a complete classic.

  I have lost fuck knows how many hours to Final Fantasy 8 so it's one of my favourites.
  
  However my overall favourite is Shadow Hearts: Covenant.
  Everything about it is fantastic - from gameplay to dialogue, music to story.
