From personal experience I can say that Arsenal fans bloody love going in to meltdown...
Harsh on Ozil though, he's put in many a 4G performance this year
It seems they do like making an unnecessary scene for no reason...must be part of being a fan... -

I reckon Messi has it this year. Regardless of what Ronaldo may have won, the front 3 of MSN is superb. I think it'll be close between them and either Neymar or Suarez in at 3rd. Payet included though? Seems weird to have him on there... -

The bookies have the odds stacked heavily for Ronaldo, I guess the Euro medal will put some weight his way.

When you look at the list, you can't help but think it's going to be the Lionel Messi v Cristiano Ronaldo popularity contest, round whatever it is now, 8/9?
I would say the player who deserves it is probably Luis Suarez, given his goal/assist record in 2016
It will most likely end up Ronaldo & Messi as the top 2, with possibly Suarez 3rd -

I remember reading something said by a player, a goalkeeper I think, I forget who though, he said about how the Ballon d'Or these days is just a popularity contest of the attackers, he does have a point, I could be wrong, but I think the last player to win the award who wasn't an attacker, was Fabio Cannavaro?
Would be great to see Manuel Neuer win, just to prove a goalkeeper can win, as as far as i'm aware, no goalkeeper has ever won the Ballon d'Or -

Would be nice to see a keeper win it, but I think Neuer from a few years back had the best chance, don't see him winning it now. But like you say it's just going to be a pissing contest between Messi and Ronaldo
