Assassin's Creed: Rogue

This is one of the other Assassin's Creed games that will be released as well as the Unity one. I think it's 11th November for the release date.
The story is said to be set during the Seven Years War and will feature an Assassin who turns Templar. It will feature ship-based naval exploration and third-person land exploration.
The main character is said to be someone called Shay Patrick Cormac who was originally a member of the Assassin Brotherhood who starts to view the Templars as something better. He sides with the Templars to become and Assassin Hunter. He sets out to find his old companions and destroy the Assassin Brotherhood.
Is anyone interested in this one? It is only on the Xbox 360 and PS3 so we'll have to see how that goes. -

Such boring games! All exactly the same as the previous ones really.
And the movement sucks ass, you always end up stuck half way up a tree or hanging off a pole or some shit. -

they would be much better if it wasn't tied into all this memory stuff, and was just an open world, rather than being restricted on where you can go and what you can do. -

The series revolves around a rivalry between two secret societies which are the Assassin Brotherhood and the Knights Templar Order. They have a relation to an ancient species whose society was destroyed long ago by a massive solar storm. It's split into two sets of time eras for each game. The first is always set in the current day and the second is always set some time in the past. There's been quite a number of games now. All the games are made to be historically accurate.
The first game revolves around Altair Ibn-La'Ahad who was in the era of the Third Crusade, the second game and its counterparts revolves around Ezio Auditore da Firenze who was in the late 15th and 16th centuries during the Italian Renaissance, the third game revolves around Connor Kenway who was in the time of the American Revolution and the fourth game revolves around Edward Kenway who was a pirate in the Golden Age Of Piracy. Throughout the entire series, the Assassin's and Templars battle each other. The Assassins fight for free will and the Templars fight for order through control
Currently two new games are going to be released soon. This one I have mentioned here will be set in the Seven Years War and the other called Assassin's Creed Unity will be set in the French Revolution. It's a very good series. It's worth checking out. -

And how does the gameplay go down? Puzzly platform vibes a la Abe's Odyssey or more of a Duke Nukem style shooter? -

It's not really that, it's more two factions having very different ideals. Here's a some quotes from the third game that basically explains some of the ideals.

The gameplay plays like a stealth adventure game. Stealth is usually always the best approach to any mission within the game. It's usually up to you how you best approach a certain mission but additional optional objectives can get you better points.
