ASMR (Autonomous sensory meridian response)
Autonomous sensory meridian response (ASMR) is a neologism for a perceptual phenomenon characterized as a distinct, pleasurable tingling sensation in the head, scalp, back, or peripheral regions of the body in response to visual, auditory, tactile, olfactory, or cognitive stimuli.
My questions are... Have you ever experienced it? If so then did you enjoy it? And what kinda noise or visual triggered it for you? Here is an example of something which may trigger it for you: ![]() ^ Stunning Woman! ;) |

RE: ASMR (Autonomous sensory meridian response)
Fistly, fuckinhell whos that eating? our Mollie {staff bull terrier} makes less noise eating hot scouse! he must have had the mic sellotaped to his adams apple!
Id say ive experienced ASMR although never given it any thought until youve mentioned it here, ive had a strange goose pimpley effect on my scalp neck n back sort of like when your scared or about to cum, its happened a few times during hot summer nights when the weather turns stormy, if i stand by the back door and hear/smell the rain on warm paving stones, im not sure how to describe the smell but im sure you know what i mean. Is that ASMR? Diamonds are a girls best friend, but some girls prefer Pearls

RE: ASMR (Autonomous sensory meridian response)
Yea its basically that proper nice feeling where your head goes all warm and maybe light (headed) or the hairs stand up on end, but it feels really good. It makes you feel really relaxed and wanting more of the same.
I got it from that video above earlier :P Ive had it plenty before in the past.. sometimes even from a person reading something out. But mainly from eating sounds i believe :P By the way i think the point of the video having the loud eating noises IS to trigger ASMR :P But you might already know that.......... Mr. Sarcastic :D Another (by the way) is the sound of falling rain on, for instance.. more water or a roof. That has triggered it for me too before ;) ![]() ^ Stunning Woman! ;) |

RE: ASMR (Autonomous sensory meridian response)
Another way ive triggered ASMR before was when i used to get my ex to run her nails all over my back and sides.. i mean it starts out as a nerve fest but (for me) ends up as ASMR :P
Try very lightly running your fingers up and down your side, from your hip to just under your armpit (back and forth) and see if it has any effect on your body. It might feel like a tickle, but if you do it long enough it should trigger ASMR :P Totally serious by the way :) ![]() ^ Stunning Woman! ;) |

RE: ASMR (Autonomous sensory meridian response)
Yeah it is quite a pleasurable feeling, the hairs on my fore arms stand up too, thats FORE arms not FOUR arms before you start calling me some kind of human/insect hybrid {go on Briss, im waiting} it also gives a sort of warm feeling inside, i used to get the same kinda thing when i was a kid on holiday in a caravan and the rain is battering the roof, you sort of feel all warm n safe out of the storm.
Going back to the noisey eater on the vid, after listening to another minute or so i think its more like John Merrick {elephant Man} eating a raw potato! Diamonds are a girls best friend, but some girls prefer Pearls
