  Not going well for Australia 15 runs from that last over, and KP keeps the strike. The R/R now down to 5.5 and he's got 45 from 30 balls. Even if he gets out now, there's more hitters in the shed waiting. If Australia lose I can imagine Clarke being berated in the papers especially the Aussie ones, but he should get credit, a bold move, and it means no one is going home early...

  if they carry on with this attitude they should do it quite easy, we need to thank clarke for his decision cuz this is great entertainment and i'm really enjoying this. really good for cricket fans and neutrals

  I spoke too soon didn't I? Certainly a bold move but probably not a wise one on Clarke's part. More chance of England reaching that target in 44 overs than Australia bowling us out, as KP is showing.

  A 3-0 Ashes win for England though, which won't seem too bad once all the outrage has died down. And can we really have any complaints after the go-slow on Friday? Works both ways.

  to be honest a draw was a fair result if you look at each days plays not the last few hours and there isn't that much difference in a 3-0 compared to a 4-0 win really.

  It's a pity with the boos for Clarke and the Umpires but England made use of bad light in previous tests so it does indeed work both ways, and the Umpires are following the laws, and that's where the problem is, a bit more common sense, and if it's decent weather and the flood lights are working then play should continue... I hope they change that for test cricket soon.
  A great days play, apparently the most runs scored in day 5 of a test match as well, and a very entertaining day for all. The England team are enjoying their moment and dare say a beer or two more will be partaken of back inside the dressing room, but not too drunk as the T20s start later this week...
  
  and as a side note, the England women also won down at Hove, so they now take a lead in their Ashes series...
