Art collector destroys £40,000 painting trying to imitate Banksy shredding stunt
As you know, Banksy shredded one of his iconic prints last week just seconds after it sold at auction for over a million quid. But it’s all cool, because his little shredding stunt actually increased the value and caused a huge stir in the art world. You know how wanky that lot are.

However, those arty types clearly aren’t that smart, as another owner of Banksy’s work took it upon himself to shred a £40,000 piece of artwork in an attempt to copy the famous artist and increase the paintings value. Unfortunately, as it was just Joe Shmo shredding it and not Banksy himself, the owner actually decreased the value hugely, leaving the painting worth just £1. Yikes!

Now experts from My Art Broker have warned people not to repeat the prank, saying: “We've had a number of Banksy print owners contact us today asking if they shred their artwork will it be worth more. Please, please DON'T. The events of the last 24hrs are a very unique piece of art history.” What a bunch of plebs!
