I was fuming at the final whistle, but both sides had more than enough chances for it to not be decided like that.
If I'm gonna be pissed at the ref then I need to be ragging on Shane Long's finishing too.

Yeah we were OK. Forced you in to giving the ball away a fair bit and some of our build-up play was impressive. Things tended to fizzle out once we got anywhere near your box though. Tadic tries to do too much, Redmond's decision making is erratic and when we did find a way through, Shane Long happened. He's not the most prolific of strikers at the best of times, and Saturday was definitely not the best of times.
Think Charlie Austin needs a run in the side, and if he's not the answer then we need to spend big in January. Could be a long season otherwise.
How good was Cazorla BTW? -

Carzola is a joy to watch when is on form, such a classy player. The result was harsh on Southampton but Arsenal won ugly so credit to them, a big challenge for them tomorrow night against PSG even after the loss of Ibra and Luiz (maybe stronger without his dodgy defending) -

Credit to Arsenal tonight for a battling draw, PSG may not be as strong as they were but their home European record is very strong and shouldn't be underestimated. Wenger mixed up the selection but coming away with a point will put them in a strong position to top the group if they can get 3 points in the return match at Emirates, -

Sometimes having your hardest match first can work in a team's favour, I know people will query the starting line-up but Arsene is shuffling his pack regularly which can only be good for the season ahead. Ospina is a bit of a worry as is easily targeted with crosses but couldn't fault his shot stopping as usual. -

I was very relived when we scored so late against Southampton! I don't think it was a great game from us, but at least we kept up the effort and got the win! The 1-1 away draw with PSG really did impress me though. I thought we played well, especially in the second half. I just wish we had a truly world class striker in their with Sanchez and Ozil!
I owe myself a celebration wank for that performance :) -

why did Sanchez take the effing penalty :( Cazorla takes em not complaining about his performace though

A very good performance by Arsenal, Carzola was extremely fortunate to stay on the pitch but at no point did Arsenal look second best and the performance of Sanchez shows why, for me, he is Arsenal's best player ahead of Ozil, like De Bruyne for Citeh yesterday, Alexis was at the heart of everything good Arsenal did. Iwobi was superb too
