Like it or not, one day Arsene will be gone and you will be facing the same situation we (united) have gone/are going through. I feel one of the only people who could come straight in and succeed would be Pep. Under the scenario I gave above, for me it would be a no-brainer.
Also, while I like Arsene a lot, its difficult to argue against the fact that he has under-achieved in the last decade. I know there have been some mitigating factors, but to not win the league once in that time is pretty shocking. A couple of FA Cups doesn't change that (although back to back is pretty good). They have a great chance this year but that is mainly down to the relative weakness at the top of the table, and even then its not a given. If United can't get back in the mix then I really hope Arsenal can do it (unless of course Leicester can pull off the fairy tale - as that would be pure magic).
To go back to your analogy - the roof might not be leaking but that's because the sun is shining - doesn't mean the holes aren't there!
But I admire the loyalty! I'll be honest, if Fergie was still in and the same question was asked of me....I think my heart would rule my head also.
weakness at the top,i dont think so,,its a lovely bit of fresh air to not see all the big heads at the top,my head is perfectly saying the truth and if you think not so be it :)

It's a compliment really. In the premier league era Spurs/Liverpool/Everton have never really been in the mix (for a season or two arguable liverpool but.......) - but Arsenal were one of the dominant players, premier league winners, Double winners, Invincibles! And since then......nothing. They have the fan base, they have the manager, they have the income - they have underachieved.
Don't get me wrong, i'm not saying they have been shit at any point - just that they could and should have done better with the resources, quality and spirit that they have. And atleast some of that has to come down to Arsene.
And as you say, its a matter of opinion - but its a pretty widespread opinion that the top of the premier league has been weak this year. Absolutely a breath of fresh air, I am actually quite enjoying it - but its pretty obvious that to win this year would not be as big an achievement as if Chelsea/United/City had been at their game as well. (Similar to our win in 2012/13 - we played well but we were so far ahead because no other teams seemed to want to come close)
But back to the present - and I was gutted to see Chelsea win - was really willing you to get an equalizer at the end there. :(
