  In all seriousness though, Wenger will be under pressure to sign some big names now after the chief exec came out and said there was money available. Not sure he actually will though, I get the impression he feels he's morally superior to all that and quite enjoys buying unknowns and selling them off for a massive profit. Trouble is, the trick hasn't been working so well lately. Who has he picked up cheap in the last 5 years that are on the same level as Vieira, Van Persie or Fabregas?

  Apparently Arsenal won't be signing Stevan Jovetic this summer. His wage demands are too high and they're not willing to break their pay structure.

  Same old arsenal. if u want quality you have 2 pay. they always end up with players who aren't good enough to win the league

  The Gunners have reportedly had a £19.7 bid for Lars Bender (hilarious) rejected by Bayer Leverkusen.
  
  The German club have already sold Dani Carvajal to Real Madrid and Andre Schurrle to Chelsea this summer so are under no pressure to sell. It remains to be seen whether Arsenal will come in with an improved offer.
  
  What you reckon Arsenal fans? Would he be a good signing?

  It's one thing to have the papers talking about who you might sign, but when one of your own players speaks up...

  So they really do have money to spend, what with Higuain coming in as well. When is that one actually going to be finalised though?
