I'm a big fan, and i don't think they get the recognition they deserve sometimes they've done alot of great music,
they even released a new album with a new singer not so long ago, and he is really good, not as good as layne stanley but got a good voice,
any other fans of theirs on here?

I'm suprised and slightly dissapointed there are not more Alice in chains fans on here, more people should listen to them.

Yes i am a big fan of them i would recommend them to anyone who likes Metallica, they have really long heavy riffs simlar to those of Metallica and i agree the new singer is not as good but still they are excellent and well worth a listen to.

yeah i didn't mean to say the new singer wasn't good he is, he's just not as good as layne stanley but thats to expected really, and the new singer has only had one album with the band,
they do get pretty heavy on some songs, aswell as some slower ones like Down in a hole, their guitarist jerry cantrell is a very talented musician.

agree with what was said here about alice in chains and metallica, alice in chains is a really good band, i actually haven't listened to them in a while kind of forgot about them lol, should probably dig out some songs now

I think i may have an alice in chains marathon tommorow now,
just listen to all the albums again one after the other,

I love Alice in Chains - they were one of the first hard rock / metal bands I git into after seeing Rooster on MTV.

I've struggled to get into the new stuff with William Duvall on vocals though. It's alright and one song I heard I really liked... but it's just not AIC for me without Layne's vocals and songwriting!
