  Could we have a new potential rival for the Oculus Rift? Sony have just unveiled a new Virtual Reality headset at a Game Developer's Conference in San Francisco that will be used for the Playstation 4 console amongst other things.
  
  
  
  
  
  What I would like to know is if it will work like the Oculus Rift or if it will have some brand new features of its own. Apparently it will give 1080p resolution so good to hear it will be in full HD.
  
  Hopefully, we'll get some footage of how it works and then we can see how good it is.

  It is a rival but it also isn't. Oculus never really had any plans to go over to consoles, the only way I can see them going to consoles now is if Microsoft buys them/partners with them.

  They actually had that in Disney Quest in Florida when I last went about 10 years ago, it wasn't Aladdin though, it was some weird Star Wars like thing. Was pretty cool but my helmet kept on slipping off because the useless cunts didn't connect it properly. You also had to be strapped to this weird stool thing so you wouldn't walk into each other.

  It'll be interesting now to have the two choices.
  And hopefully it means they will push each other further and anything that was being made for the Occulus Rift is more than likely going to have the Sony version aswell.

  Na, you'll get more choice on the Rift just like you get more choice on PC in general than consoles. PC is easier for small indies to develop for
