I just got a 4K Panasonic TV but I'm struggling to find any 4K content. Does anyone know a source?

I think some of the recent blu ray players have 4k as an out put, was in zavvi recently and i'm sure i noticed a copy of Ghostbusters which was mastered in 4K

That's a bit of a kick in the balls isn't it. Don't get me wrong Ghostbusters is a good movie but to get a new high spec tv to play a quite old movie doesn't seem like the reason it was bought. Won't be long before they get some other stuff out there I'm sure. Maybe Gone With The Wind is next.

Can't help but feel that by the time content producers have caught up with this technology, the TV manufacturers will have already moved on to something new.

That is what the various producers always do it. The TV manufactures advance the technology and people rush out and buy it. Then the content providers play catch up and stay equal for a little while then the tv makers advance the technology again.

IF you dont mind can I ask how much you paid and what size it is? been reading up on 4k recently and I don't think I can justify the price when there seems to be so little content as youve already highlighted, I did read that netflix and amazon are working on 4K stuff right now tho.

I don't doubt that with time these could become the standard, obviously right now there's too little support for them and they cost more than a house. Mind you, I said that about 3D TVs and they flopped big time, it's down to 4k to show that it's enough of a leap to get the market saturation

netflix and amazon tv both intend doing 4k via the net,(netflix may already offer it depending on your area/region) but the main providers of tv in the uk and i guess elsewhere (judging whats going on in america with net neutrality) have no intention of jumping to 4k anytime in the next 10 years. currently they only do 720p max, thats rite not even 1080p. so there in no hurry.

other problems like average net speed arnt helping either as most provides cant deliver high enough speeds to play 4k smoothly over the web

as for the consoles none of them support 4k.
sony says it is releasing 4k bluerays which led to a lot of speculation and hype then mistakes.

he only way to play 4k blueray is via your pc/laptop equipped with displayport 1.2 or better.

im sorry to say at this time mate you have wasted a lot of bank for what is for now a gimmic (things may change in a couple of years when the price of the hardware comes down) so for now, pickings will be meager...
