It's not as simple as that, because both parents need to have the ginger gene to have a ginger baby. And the gene skips generations so you would need to look at this as a long term investment, maybe it wouldn't work until the grandkids appeared, by which time it may be totally out of fashion again.
And because it skips generations, you are just as likely to get the same result from a non ginger donor who has a ginger parent, in fact you would be better off doing that probability-wise, which is a cruel twist of fate to the real gingers who were just getting excited about the thought of a nurse coming round to their house with a little bottle.
