YOUTUBE'S DARKEST, REMOTEST CORNERS
You know how 1% of the world's population control something like 50% of the wealth? It's even worse on YouTube. Justin Bieber'd probably struggle to tell how many views he's had to the nearest billion, but at the other end of the spectrum, thousands of users diligently upload clips every day and receive no love at all.
Hope comes in the form of sites like petitube.com, which'll randomly select a video with zero views and play it for you. Which means I was the first person to ever see Ritesh Ohol's bitching guitar solo here. In the description, poster Amit Godbole calls Ohol a genius, and I tend to agree. You have to take the rough with the smooth in this game though, and while I can certainly appreciate the exhaust notes of an Alfa Romeo Mito, it didn't quite move me as much as that first vid. Now those who know me well will be able to vouch for my long and arduous search for the perfect carpet cleaning solution, so imagine my surprise and delight when greeted with this next video! Unfortunately, my elation soon turned to disappointment. They're based in Providence, NC, me Yorkshire, UK. The logistics of it just didn't add up. Good tip here for anyone wanting to stand out from the crowd on eBay. Rather than just posting pictures of the item you're selling, upload a video in which those pics are accompanied by some rights-free elevator music. I say 'good tip'; zero views, so... Lastly, and I had to stop here (I'd clearly peaked), some Japanese business-types dancing about and doing a bit of karaoke, up in the club. Superb. Again, petitube.com. Give it a go, literally minutes of fun. ![]() |
