It's one of only 500 RS500s ever built, with less than 11,000 miles on the clock.  

There's 224hp to play with, 0-62 is taken care of in 6.2 seconds and its top speed is 153mph.  It's also cool AF.  

With all that in mind it went to auction at Silverstone recently with an upper estimate of £14,750.

...and ended up being sold for £114,750!  Ridiculous!

But then you look at the pics and can't help but feel it was money well spent.

Ok, it seems to be in a very good (so maybe exellent) condition...
But it's only a Ford :-)

Yeah you'd imagine it'd be close to, if not the best example out there.

Only takes two people who want it real bad to start a bidding war, doesn't it?

Fool and money spring to mind. Underneath it is a rep mobile. Give me an original 2.3 or 2.5 litre M3 any day.
