  yeah i agree it is basicley down to personal preference but graphic wise xbox beats ive play on ps3 and xbox you can tell the different over few games by a big margin ' not on the big titles like cod but when ya play likes of mid range titles the p.s doesnt seem to perform as good as the xbox 'a think tht mite be down the acually chip's in each console '

  i've never really noticed a difference in the graphics myself, in fact back when i was in the shop we did once do a little test of both machines hooked up to tvs with the same game playing on each and people had to guess which machine was which and the vast majority got it wrong, so i'm not saying there's not a difference but just that like many of the differences it gets really blown out of proportion by fanboys
  
  i understand what you mean about the controller, i for one can't get on with the ps3 controller as it feels too tiny and flimsy to me

  I'm the opposite to you then, i've always found the ps3 controller simple and easy to use, wheras i think the xbox controller is way too big and clunky, and i much prefer the analogue stick layout of the ps3 controller,
  It does make a nice change for this topic to appear on a forum and it not turn into an argument within 1 minute lol.

  although i do have a xbox i have played the ps3 also personally the only reason why the ps3 would be better would be due to the online play which is free but the price of the ps3 is considerably more than the xbox.

  its goto be xbox all day i got both but ps3 aint got the same multi player as xbox i think xbox muilti player is way better plus more people own a xbox over ps3 but xbox do charge to play online where as ps3 dont but a ps3 cost way more then a xbox

  Hmm i have an arguemnt on both X box do provide better online play bit the PS3 has better graphics as i used to work in a computer repair shop and the PS3's had better chips in them for graphiocs !

  When I was looking at the new consoles I was positive I wanted a ps3, and that I would get a wii on the side for mario, zelda and all that good shit. I was like wow, look at the exclusives and the specs, free blu ray etc. But as one PR blunder after another started to put me off, exlusives started disappearing and all of a sudden the choice game down to halo and gears of war, vs little big planet and uncharted, which pipped it for me in favour of the xbox. Also while you have to pay for live, I've since found it to be the best online gaming service I've ever used, so totally worth it.

  i don't play consoles at all but seems most people like xbox 360 over ps3 - but if trying to choose which one is better and they're pretty close - isn't the ps3 a lot cheaper than the xbox? that should factor.

  ps3 is much better, okay on xbox better gaming online but the things u can do on a ps3, and the variety of ps3, i got the slimline, wid 250 gb memery. on xbox u play games, dats it, okay i no dats wot u do on a console, but look at the aditional tinggs wid ps3...
