  Apocalypse is the first and most powerful mutant from Marvel’s X-Men universe. Not only does he have the powers of other mutants, but he's also immortal. After waking up after thousands of years, he is confused with the world and recruits a team of powerful mutants to create a new world order where he is ruler.   This looks like it could be one of the/if not the best X-men film. I mean it is about time they brought Apocalypse into the story and getting Oscar Isaac to play him is even better. The film should be interesting to see all the characters like Scott and Jean when they were younger. Another upside is having Sophie Turner as Jean, she is seriously hot.

  I've not been impressed by much shown of this shown so far, i'm kinda over seeing teenage/untrained versions of X-men characters now and would like to see trained adult versions (something they've yet to do). Don't like the over focus on Mystique and as a comic fan i hate they made her the leader just because Jennifer Lawrence is Mystique and she barely seems to be blue anymore (which i assume is because Lawrence doesn't like makeup so they pander to her).
  Psylocke looks great though, shame that exposes how lazy and terrible the black leather outfits, that they still won't change, are.

  The whole teenage and untrained mutants i am ok with but i definitely agree with you about the whole Mystique thing. She is getting way too much importance in the storylines and like you said she is barely her normal blue self anymore which is boring. I am looking forward to seeing Nightcrawler again because he is my favourite X-man .

  See i didn't mind it showing the team as untrained in the first one, i didn't mean seeing them as teenagers in First Class, though it was a bit repetitive. But know it's an untrained teenage team of mutants again. And this is how they choose to show the team fighting arguably the strongest villain in comics and by far in the films. And aside from that they future was set as of the end of Days of future past, there is zero peril in this because it's known they are all still alive in the new future (another reason to make them adults and set it after that moment in the future).
  
  Jennifer Lawrence has even said in interview that she demanded less time in makeup, so the lack of blue look is just them giving in to her demands and if the character was being played by some nobody then there is no way she would have that much focus.

  Now that you mention it you make a very good point. They have finally included Apocalypse, the most powerful mutant, in an X-men film but they have decided to put him up against an untrained team who will somehow defeat. The film will still probably be very good but now i can't help but feel it could have been better if he were against the fully grown X-men. Also it would be cool if they Wolverine as the Horseman of Death in this film but i see that being very unlikely.

  Yeah i'm going to find it hard to take Apocalypse seriously when the inevitable ending is him losing to untrained teenagers. It bugs me they've made Magneto a villain again. Partially because i'm a comic fan and know Magneto should be fighting with the X-men against Apocalypse (he's much more conflicted than the one note, always a villain film portrayal), and partially because making him a villain again is just lazy.
  And as for making Storm, one of the longest standing members of the X-men a villain, that's just stupid.

  Thanks for posting the superbowl commercial for this,. Reedefox. Visually this does look gorgeous and as a side note its gonna be cool (based on the trailer) to see, was his name, quicksilver (Evan Peters) in action again (thought he was awesome in DOFP). Will check this out on home release but am not gonna rush to the cinema to see it. Not a fan of Mystique as a character anyways, really dont get the push she has received in this trilogy.

  Honestly i did not know that Storm was going to a villain in this but i know why that may be. Apocalypse has four mutants that stand by him called the four horsemen of the Apocalypse. In one storyline Apocalypse and Mr Sinister defeat Wolverine and Brainwash him into becoming the horseman of Death, they also do the same thing to Angle in another storyline, but maybe that is what has happened to Storm.

  Gotta say im not up on the whole apocalypse / four horsemen stories of old (or much xmen comic wise in general to be honest). I do recall (vaguely) apocalypses look from the old xmen cartoons though. Doesnt issacs take look a little power rangers villain esque. Still, am looking forward to seeing what Sophie Turner brings to the role of Jean.
