got to admit it- very much doubt aussies will win world cup. batting can be very good, but bowling appears average. hope i'm wrong! poms and india looking good at this stage. be rapt  if kiwis got up and won , love their attitude -   unlike warner, very understated.

david warner... gee he polarises people in straya. on one hand hope he does well, good to watch, the man can bat. on the other hand don't mind if  he fails , takes him down a peg or two. some of his celebrations are  embarrassing.

As much as i hate what Warner and Smith and even Bancroft did during that series v SA, you can't that Smith and Warner are brilliant cricketers, but they don't blow me away like previous Aussie sides to me. A dark horse for me is NZ, as ppl seem to think it's between England, India and Aussie.

fair enough peter, but it's been over a year now since 'sandpaper scandal'. I don't condone what happened- serves them right for cheating,  penance has been served.  fielding sides have been tampering  with the ball for years- hair gel, Vaseline, zinc cream, saliva induced by lollies, chewing gum, dirt in pockets, picking seam by fingernails/biting, deliberately throwing ball hard into turf...….etc.  agree with you on top 4. aussie bowling is the worry- need at least 350- 380 runs batting.

Has India taken Afghanistan lightly today? They will need a good start to chase this down for me.

india just scraped home. wonder how many games have finished  with a hat-trick?. back in early 1900s, trumble for oz got hat-trick with his last 3 balls in tests. I remember it well

just watched replay of kiwis vs windies. what a finish!  thought kiwis were home and hosed, then windies- Brathwaite- incredible hitting last few overs. 1  more 6 to win, caught on boundary. talk about a pressure catch, 6 more inches higher, it's over. difference between winning and losing- 3 x length of my dick.

regardless of who wins, good to hear different commentators. how  about a trade?  we'll have Atherton and the brit female caller, you can take Michael slater and mark 'greasy' Nicholas. smarmy prick

No thank you, you can keep both. Nicholas is more of an Australian anyhow, every Aussie game i've saw that he has commentated on it is like he wants citizenship haha I gave up on Day 1 listening to them all, switched over Test Match Special for the majority of this tournament.
