Things like Doom 3 and prey as well, that came out without being playable at their highest settings, pushing things along that way, started to feel like a bit of a rip. I love my xbox, but I think at this point the diff between ps3 and xbox is down to exclusives, it used to be that the ps3 was an overpriced piece of tech that was rarely being utilised to its full potential. Its pricing is a bit more reasonable, and when you include the xbox live subscription in your pricing, they come out pretty similar. I just prefer achievements to trophies and I prefer halo and GoW to little big planet and uncharted.
I don't agree about the wii. I know a lot of people played wii sports 5 years ago and either fell in love with the controls or said "meh, it's a gimmick". But there are some fantastic wii exclusive games with beutifully intuitive controls. I mean if all you're into is call of duty and what not, sure wii's aren't for you. But mario, zelda, metroid, they're classics for a reason. I'm excited about the wii u not so much for the controller, although I like that nintendo is trying something new, and I think it could be awesome. I'm excited about the third party support, in bringing the graphics in line with other consoles it means more great titles like arkham city will make it to nintendo gamers.
