  Who thought it'd be a good idea to let Gary Barlow do England's World Cup song?
  
  It was recorded in London yesterday, with 'help' from the likes of Mel C, Emma Bunton, Kimberley Walsh, Conor Maynard, Eliza Doolittle, Katy B and Pixie Lott. Former England players Gary Lineker, Geoff Hurst, Michael Owen, Dion Dublin, Gary Pallister, Kenny Sansom, Carlton Palmer, David Seaman, Gary Mabbutt, Glenn Hoddle, Peter Shilton and Martin Keown showed their faces too.

  They make these songs because they think everyone in the country will buy it regardless of how it sounds. Basically they do it for the £££, but in reality it's just a bunch of fat blokes singing karaoke and it gets hardly any radio airplay

  The days of an "official song" for a tournament are long gone in my opinion. part of it is probably to do with the realisation that England dont have a good chance to win a tournament. I just find it a bit cringeworthy lol

  I just look at it as a bit of a laugh. Last best world cup song was early nineties and new order. That John barnes rap lol. 3 lions tough to beat but the footy songs are now really well and truly dead in the water these days. As long as hoddle doesnt re unite with waddle and sing diamond lights again !! Arrrrrrrgh !
