  i agree that we have been winning 'ugly'.
  
  this season is more about getting straight back to the premiership then building on from there, rather than playing fancy football in the championship, we are winning but if we play this way in the premiership we are doomed, allardyce seems on the ball though about this and even said he will change tactics and playing style come the new season (granted we get promoted).
  
  I think the whole portsmouth debacle is a kick in the balls if we get he 6 points we earnt fromt hem taken away, but with a few more wins under our belt in the coming matches, we should be fine.
  
  march looks like a good month for us as although we have alot of matches to play, the recent signings have added adequate depth to deal with this.

  Makes me remember that FA cup or 2006 against liverpool! so close to winning, when an injured gerrard hobbles to the ball and scores a blinder to make it go into extra time and penalties. what a sad loss but an epic game!

  
  Oh mate! It's the best and worst memory I have as a west ham fan. Absolutely heart broken but so proud. Anytime that match comes on tv or even when they replay that Gerrard goal at the end, a little part of me cries inside.
  I'm still not over it.....lol

  not a fan of west ham but i do like what the way they are playing this season through grinding out the results good luck to the hammers hope to see you in the prem next year

  I've always thought that we'd be there or thereabouts at the end of the season. Let's see what happens. We need to sort our home form out, dropping too many points here. It's strange cos normally we're hopeless away from home, but big Sam has us set up right for the away matches.
  We should be careful or Reading though, they're on an amazing run.

  More points dropped at home today. I don't quite know what's going wrong at home. We just can't seem to break teams down. Southampton are seven points ahead of us now, and even though we've got a game In hand, it'll be really hard to catch them. Looks like the playoffs for us again.

  What is going on at west ham? We have really blown it recently. From being a few points ahead in 1st, we've put ourselves in a position where we need other teams to do us a favour or two. If we get the playoffs, I reckon we'll lose because we don't have any momentum at the moment.

  i agree with the last post, we have been in horrible form for the last few games, and im really scared that if we get to the playoffs, knowing our luck we might not get back in the premiership for another season, but still behind the lads 100%

  Thought I'd give this thread a boost.
  I'm pretty happy with the start we've made and chuffed with the signings (carroll and Jarvis) and the signing of benayoun is a clever bit of business.
  Apparently though, Carroll can be recalled in January if Liverpool need him. That would be bullshit, it's Liverpools problem that they let him go, they should just deal with it.
  What does everyone else think?

  Great win away from home today! Big Sam has got us to be a tough team to beat, it might not be pretty all the time buts its certainly effective. I reckon we can comfortably be mid-table this season, maybe better.
