A couple from South Carolina don’t go out for dinner or watch Netflix in their spare time, instead they like to tend to their 200 'plastic children' including 30 life-sized dolls.
Madeline Dressel has always loved dolls, but her husband Malachi’s fondness for collecting 'plastic children' was only discovered after they moved in together. He describes his childhood as a 'quintessential male upbringing in the US' and was always encouraged to play with something 'manly'. That there’s folks, is why you allow your kids to be whoever the fuck they want to be so they don’t end up getting all obsessive and creepy.
Malachi admits that his love of love of dolls is just a strong as his wife's, and he even has his own dolls among their collection.
In case you’re wondering if the dolls are just a replacement for real children, apparently not - The couple explain that they just love to play, restore and create scenes with the dolls - even making memes about the dolls.
However, they’re not blind to criticism, and admit they’ve had their fair share of hate, with people calling them 'very disturbed'. I mean yeah, it’s pretty odd but they aren’t hurting anyone are they. Her eyes do a look a tad menacing though. I wonder if she keeps the souls of dead children trapped in the dolls?! I’m sure I’ve seen that movie...
These are the only dolls we at Rampant TV are interested in!
