  The school system has failed me. I may have learned to spell the word Wednesday by breaking it down to its core components, Wed-nes-day but they didn’t teach me how to put it back together again. I’m sure this kind of sadness parallels the macabre experience we can expect from Tim Burton’s new series ‘Wednesday’ starring Jenna Ortega in the leading role. As someone older I have no idea who Jenna Ortega is but the internet assures me that she has been perfectly cast. With any luck this will be a well executed huge hit because I’d be more than happy for a ‘Fester’ spin off.

  I loved Christina Ricci as Wednesday in the Addams family films. I might give this a chance given that Tim Burton is involved. It'll be interesting to see what the full trailer looks like and what the story of the show will be.

  I really like this trailer. Centring the series around Wednesday being expelled from a "normal" school and then joining a "weird" one is an interestingly storyline. The casting of Luis Guzman and Catherine Zeta Jones as Gomez and Mortica is genius too.

  Jenna Ortega plays Wednesday to perfection. Her facial expressions, body language and line deliveries are all brilliant. The supporting cast are all great too, especially Gwendoline Christie. Christina Ricci's cameo is perfect. Guzman and Jones are really good as Gomez and Morticia. Credit to Burton, Miller and Gough for creating a great TV show.

  With Wednesday being one of the most streamed shows ever in Netflix history despite only being made available this year, you can see why the streaming giant are ready to roll out season 2 as soon as possible and ride that hype wave.
