This BMW M5 did an 8 hour long drift!
It travelled a total distance of 232.5 miles in that time, enough to comfortably surpass the previous world record of 89.55.

'But surely it would have had to stop for re-fuelling?', I hear you cry.  

Your concerns are understandable, but they managed to get around this with the stupid, dangerous and genius idea of using a second car to top up the tank mid-drift.

Here's hoping the M5 was treated to a nice set of fresh tyres after that ordeal, eh?
