  Yeah that's kind of what I meant. He's been there a while but doesn't fall in to the loyal category after all the transfer requests.

  ok i see what you meant he doesn't have same kind of loyalty or the impact as some. he's been their nearly ten years and he's had a strange time there to be honest.

  I think the words loyalty and football are a pairing that no longer exist. I think giggs, carragher, gerrard and neville are the last ones. Money, ego, and WAGS are footballs new bedfellows so legends from now on will be based on stats.

  Fair play to Rooney for doing his talking on the pitch again, he carried United when Ronaldo left and I think a lot people overlooked the role he played last season, Van Persie got the glory for the goals he scored but Rooney put a lot of work in to assist RVP. He's never going to be considered a loyal player but he never lets his team down in terms of effort on the pitch

  he may put in alot of effort, but he goes missing in most of the big games he plays in and i'm not sure he set that many of van persie's goals last season.

  Rooney has winners against arsenal, Chelsea, man city and Liverpool. He also has goals ainst barca,AC Milan and he destroyed bayern by himself so I think he can handle big games just fine personally
