That trailer is a brilliant adaptation of an insane concept, taht I'm sure every family on the planet will be settling down to watch after eating their Christmas dinners. Turning David Harbour into a John Wick version of Santa Claus and putting him up against a bunch of mercenaries lead by John Leguizamo is genius.

This is a great film. Wirkola directed Casey and Miller's screenplay beautifully. Harbour was perfectly suited for the every facet of the lead role. Leguizamo plays the role of antagonists with such effortless charisma. Brady is wonderful in giving the film it's point of view from a child's perspective, and Hassell and Louder are great as her parents. D'Angelo puts in a scene stealing performance. The action is brutally balletic. Hints at a larger world and it's historic lore are nicely interwoven into this gruesome tapestry. References are made to classic Christmas films via very creative methods. This will most definitely become a ***** classic and I wouldn't be opposed to seeing a follow up tale at some point in the future.
