VILLAGERS ARE FREAKED OUT BY HALF HUMAN/SHEEP HYBRID

Villagers in Lady Frere, South Africa were left believing that some dirty bastard had impregnated a sheep as the lamb that popped out looked like a weird half sheep/human hybrid. The backwards villagers were convinced that it was the result of bestiality and witchcraft. One villager wrote:

The elders when they saw it said it was sent by the devil and was born after a coupling between a man and a sheep and then there was panic.
Many people are afraid and will not be happy until it is burned.

 

Wow. People need to get a grip. Luckily a vet waded in and gave the villagers a dose of reality:

We can confirm this is a severely deformed lamb that was born by a sheep in Lady Frere this week which at a glance resembles a human form.
It is not however human but a deformed stillborn lamb sired by a sheep and was subsequently infected by a Rift Valley Fever at an early stage of its pregnancy.
It is worth noting that a sheep has 28 pairs of chromosomes while humans have 23 pairs which is important in dispelling the myth that a union of a sheep ovum and a human sperm can lead to a development of a viable life form.
The deformed lamb exhibits signs that are consistent with an early foetal development that went wrong as a result of a viral infection and nothing more.

It would be easy for me to make a bestiality joke or reference the impossibility of a being being created as a result of a sheep and human going at it..but i really cant. One can only hope that the poor lamb (and mother of course) didnt suffer at all..can only imagine. As for the villagers..fucking idiots presuming the absolute worst, kudos to the vet for putting em straight.
