The final major of the year takes place this week from Baltusrol. A traditionally tough layout which has never yielded a double digit under par winning score. With firm and fast conditions very likely and high rough either side of narrow fairways, this week is unlikely to buck the trend.
Here is my main player to look out for this weekend
Sergio Garcia - One of the great players without a major to his name, there is no doubt that he has had plenty of chances to break his maiden major duck without converting them. A return to an A.W Tillinghast design, a course designer responsible for Bethpage Black where Garcia has won previously. A good showing in the Open Champion behind the fireworks of Stenson and Mickelson and a consistent year with one win mark out as big contender
Others to note, Brandt Snedeker, top 5 last week in Canada and also a player with good form on Tillinghast designs. Daniel Berger. talented young player who got his maiden win two starts ago and is fit following a recent withdrawal, this course will suit
