Useless UK TV networks/broadcasters

I'll warn in advance, this thread is a rant because it's something that's been bugging me lately.
Recently been finding that a lot of programs from the US have been taking ages to get here. Take Agents of Shield for example, already reached its mid season finale in the US and Channel 4 have yet to show a single episode or advertise the next series, found one ad on twitter only today, as recorded by someone else off tv by the look of it, that it's been bumped to E4 (because apparently Channel 4 needs to focus on its reality tv crap, the Chris evans ego hour and programs about people on benefits) with the helpful date of 'coming soon'. By which point the season will probably be fully shown in america and spoilers will be everywhere (already had the midseason finale spoiled, thanks to the internet). Which actually triggered this rant.
Brooklyn nine nine, was wondering why it had been so long since new episodes of this, already well into the new season in America, also shown on E4 here. Also apparently not as worthwhile to them as shitty scripted reality shows about annoyingly posh rich people.
Not just that though, Gotham, already started in America, channel 5 decided that waiting till next year is wise, because apparently their programs are too important to interrupt till next year (was going to list a single program Channel 5 had but couldn't think of one).
And not forgetting Ash vs evil dead, which was both shown later than the US, bought by virgin of all networks and quietly tucked away on their on demand service without a single advert.
Going further back you have Breaking Bad, which was only this year premièred on tv (AMC channel) about 4 years too late. (that would bother me more if i hadn't of found alternate methods of watching it).
Think the only ones that get shown at similar times are Game of thrones and the Walking dead.
