  Ufc 176 has been cancelled due to the main event being ruined by aldo's injury. Had a feeling they'd do this as there wasn't enough drawing power in the card and alot of top fighters already having fights scheduled.

  ye same here the card wasnt that weak to a hardcore fan like me but theree wasnt enough name powwer to sell the ppv to the casual fan,but this means all those fights have been moved to other events ,which means better cards with more fights

  yea not enough draw power. i mean really even chad mendez vs jose aldo itself for the casual fan is not that big a fight because aldo's ratings have always been poor.,
  
  i think the ufc would love for both aldo AND barao to be out and have two americans in there instead

  Yeah true, the card probably wouldn't have done great numbers like you said as aldo isn't really a big name. I think like boxing the lighter weights have less of a following for most casual fans.

  ye rustee its weird man the same guys who dont really feel the lighter guys are the same guys complaining when a boring heavy weight fight is going on,the mmain reason i like the lighter guys more is cuz they have more cardio ,better technique and they are wayyyyyyyy more exciting and fast

  i think it's that he's brazilian really, brazilian fighters seem to be just be a tough sell for the ufc - even anderson silva wasn't THAT big as he should have been until the vitor knockout.
  
  remember a time when lightweights were not getting big ratings? well BJ penn became a huge star afterwards, cuz he speaks english lol

  ye silva wasnt as big until he knock vitor out cuz vitor was that guy in braziland silva took all his shine,then all these sponsors like burger king ,u think they will do silva vs nick diaz LOOOOL

  yeah its exactly the same as boxing, they complain of crap heavyweight fights, but dont bother with the lighter weights, where you see more speed, variety and quality.

  ye and for some reason all the heavy weights are boring out side of fighting ,but all the lighter guys are crazy ,heavy weights are ok but unless its jds,cain,mark hunt,werdum,overeem,bigfoot all the rest are boring,whats happened to todd duffee

  you talk about todd duffee i really don't think he was ever THAT good, i went watched that fight you told me about can't remember who it was against i think some other smallish heavyweight todd duffee is nothing to write home about. i think cain will rule for a while to come, that guy is like the universal soldier right now lol
