If it's on, I'll watch it, although it isn't a show that I'll go out of my way to watch. In my opinion, the older episodes with Charlie were a lot better then the newer ones, it just isn't the same anymore...

I think if they hadn't have had to stop production because of Charlie's antics and firing they would have shown more of the supporting casts people liked, I think they lost a few to other projects. Anger Management proved that a lot of what made Two and a half men funny was the writing (since charlie on a new show failed miserably, poor show).

With series one to eight (the Charlie years), yeah, towards the end the writing did slip a bit but it was that combo of Charlie and the effective writing that made the show what it was. I felt this applied to the other characters. It was so much more near the knuckle during the Charlie years and the constant abuse by Charlie towards Alan really made the show. Once that dynamic was removed, it just wasnt the same. I dont know if the writers changed starting season 9 or if the producers wanted to tone things down a bit but with all those factors, a hated the Ashton Kutcher years. I kept watching for one reason and one reason only, the hope that things would improve. In my opinion, they never did.
