  Oh the blowout destroy everything ending, bold choice, never all that popular with the fans though (on any show).
  
  Another show that was really good (at least i thought it was) that had an awful ending was Carnivale, not because it was a bad episode, just that it was obviously leading to further story developments in a next series that ultimately never happened and was annoyingly full of loose ends,
  still a show worth a watch if anyone hasn`t seen it though.

  my name is earl had a really dissapointing finale as this was probrably due to the show being cancelled by its network. shame because it was an interesting four seasons

  Basically TV shows you liked that had terrible open endings either due to cancellation or just blatantly bad writing.

  Thought i`d give a warning just incase i reveal more detail than i mean to.
  
  There are a few that spring to mind to me pretty quickly,
  
  Battlestar Galactica, the remake was a good series most of the way through, dragged in parts but the ending to that was terrible it was trying to be really clever, but just was a total fail to me.
  
  Heroes, This one was more due to cancellation, very annoying open ending, but then the way the writing for that went up and down in quality, it was probably a mercy cancellation.
  
  Lost, this one sort of falls in the middle for me, parts i liked, parts i didn`t and seemed kind of pointless, the main story wrap up i liked despite not revealing everything, but the flash sideways parts (which i did like mostly) were essentially pointless and could easily have been removed without affecting the story.

  The ending of LOST really disappointed me, I really wish I hadn't seen it, I would have been happier had I stopped watching as Jack was walking up the steps to the church. Had the ending been of the quality of the 6 seasons it would have been (in my opinion) the best show ever.
