Betting tips for the late kick-off:

    Liverpool v Aston Villa 17:30
Suarez is going to enjoy this one, isn’t he? Not much fun backing him these days though, just 7/2 for the hat-trick! Sturridge is fit again though, so how about him to score 2 or more at 13/5? No, that’s shit as well. I’ve spent most of this week thinking about how hilarious it is that Villa have signed Grant Holt, so he’ll probably score. 6/1 anytime, that’s better! Otherwise, 4.5+ match goals (11/5) and the Liverpool win, obviously.
    Prediction: 4-1 (14/1)

    And the teams:
Liverpool: Mignolet, Johnson, Cissokho, Skrtel, Toure, Gerrard, Henderson, Sterling, Coutinho, Sturridge, Suarez. Subs. Jones, Kelly, Lucas, Moses, Allen, Aspas, Alberto.
Aston Villa: Guzan, Bacuna, Vlaar, Clark, Bertrand, El Ahmadi, Westwood, Delph, Agbonlahor, Weimann, Benteke. Subs. Steer, Sylla, Helenius, Albrighton, Luna, Gardner, Holt.

    HT: Liverpool 1-2 Aston Villa

Well, that was an interesting first half, both teams scored, so good for me, but not quite expecting that scoreline, and to be honest Liverpool was lucky to get away with that...

Andreas Weimann taps in an easy 1st for Villa in the 25th minute followed by Christian Benteke 10 or so minutes later, with a header into an open goal from a cross from Agbonlahor that both keeper and defender (Johnson) misses...

But you can't keep Daniel Sturridge out of the news, as he puts some respectability back to the scoreline right at the end of first half...

    IT'S A PENALTY TO LIVERPOOL......

Brad Guzan does get a touch, even though he tries to get his arms out of the way... Gerrard steps up and plants it in the net to make it 2-2

    GAME ON....

Every time Brendan Rodgers starts talking about challenging for the title or finishing top 4, Liverpool drop points. He should probably keep quiet.

Team news is in for today's 13:30 kick-off:

Swansea: Tremmel, Rangel, Chico, Williams, Ben Davies, Britton, Amat, Pozuelo, Shelvey, Routledge, Bony. Subs: Taylor, Cornell, Lamah, Tiendalli, Vazquez, Richards, Donnelly.
Spurs: Lloris, Walker, Dawson, Chiriches, Rose, Bentaleb, Dembele, Lennon, Eriksen, Chadli, Adebayor. Subs: Soldado, Holtby, Capoue, Naughton, Defoe, Sigurdsson, Friedel.

Swansea (11/5) are once again far shorter for the win than they have any right to be. They're only 3 points off the bottom three but the bookies don't seem to have noticed. Got to be the Spurs win at 7/5, especially given their current form. Adebayor (9/4) and Eriksen (13/5) both look good shouts to score any time but personally I'll be sticking a couple of quid on the away win and BTTS at 18/5.
    Prediction: 1-2 (17/2)

...and tips for the big one!

    Chelsea v Man Utd 16:00
David Moyes doesn't win against the big teams, and Jose Mourinho doesn't lose at home. As such, 7/10 for the home win and 9/2 the away is about right. Can see it being tight though, and I'm tempted to go for the draw at 14/5. The score draw's at 4/1 though if you're feeling dangerous. Any one of Chelsea's front 6 could pop up with a goal, but United will be relying on Welbeck, 3/1 any time for him.
    Prediction: 1-1 (13/2)

    WEST BROM V EVERTON 20:00
New manager for the Baggies, which is always a danger, but given their lack of strikers I'm struggling to imagine a scenario whereby they score more goals than Everton. The draw (5/2) isn't beyond them but if we're picking a winner then it's got to be the away side at 11/10. Take them with a -1 handicap (and I think I just might) and it's 11/4. Romelu Lukaku's bound to have some joy against his former club so you could do worse than 9/2 on him getting the first or 11/8 any time. By dint of not being injured, suspended or sold, Berahino looks the best bet for West Brom at 5/2 any time.
    Prediction: 0-2 (9/1)

6 correct results, 2 correct scores and a nice looking treble thwarted by West Ham's inability to get a draw against Newcastle, the bastards.

Finished the weekend with the exact same amount of cash sat in my account as when it started. I've had worse...
