TRANSFER RUMOURS! 7th January

Don't be surprised if today turns out to be the day the transfer window peaked, a good three and a bit weeks before it SLAMS SHUT with a Jim White-accompanied whimper.
First up, Victor Valdes has joined Man Utd on an 18-month deal. Pretty big in itself, but extra appealing when taken with the subsequent speculation on David De Gea's future.
And then there's Ched Evans agreeing terms with Oldham. It'll probably make the six o'clock news, that.
If we're not careful, Stoke's interest in Xhedran Shaqiri (actually confirmed by Potters assistant manager Mark Bowen) could get lost in all the excitement. Which would be a shame.
To get over the disappointment of Shaqiri heading to the Britannia, Liverpool will move for West Brom's Saido Berahino. £20m ought to do it, or if you're Spurs, Aaron Lennon and Andros Townsend in a swap deal. Tony Pulis does love a winger, but without a big man to whip the crosses in to, really what's the point?
Is Bony to City (£30m) still happening? Gone a touch quiet.
Arsenal are keen on Morgan Schneiderlin, but a £25m bid might not be forthcoming until the summer. Though right here in the here and now, the Gunners and Southampton will duke it out for Porto's Colombian youngster Juan Quintero.
Younes Kaboul could be off to Besiktas, David Moyes fancies taking Adnan Januzaj and/or Joel Campbell to Sociedad on loan, and Norwegian wonderkid Martin Odegaard has finally settled on a move to Real Madrid. Better luck next time, everyone else.
