Liverpool have agreed a fee of around £4.5m with Southampton for Rickie Lambert, and the England striker looks set to sign a two year deal on completion of his medical tomorrow. It could be that the Reds will be priced out of a move for Adam Lallana though, so Bayern Munich winger Xherdan Shaqiri has been sounded out as a cheaper alternative. Speaking of cheaper alternatives, Ryan Bertrand: Less expensive than Alberto Moreno.
The good news just keeps on coming for Southampton. Man Utd are back in with an improved offer for Luke Shaw, and Victor Wanyama fancies linking up with Mauricio Pochettino again at Tottenham. United and Spurs are both interested in Inter's Fredy Guarin too, with the latter apparently willing to include Erik Lamela as a makeweight in the deal. Also, Roberto Soldado to Atletico.
Or Alvaro Negredo. Real Madrid are still after Sergio Aguero as well, but word is they'll have to match the £85m they paid for Gareth Bale to have any sort of hope with that one.
Tiago's return to Chelsea on a free is almost done, and Jose Mourinho likes the look of Real's Jose Callejon too. Demba Ba though, he's off to Besiktas.
Bacary Sagna has confirmed his departure from Arsenal so the announcement of him signing a three-year £120,000-a-week deal at City shouldn't be too far off now. Arsene Wenger quite fancied replacing him with Atletico right-back Juanfran, but a £9m bid has been rejected.
And lastly, Angel Di Maria's after a change of scenery. Cue mad scramblings from the Gunners and Manchesters United and City.
Quite Madrid-heavy that, wasn't it?
