Loic Remy failed a medical at Liverpool over the weekend. Only one thing for it, sign another Southampton player! Jay Rodriguez is sort of injured until at least October though, so he might struggle in front of the doctors as well. Dejan Lovren's £20m move to Anfield has been confirmed though, and Calum Chambers has joined Arsenal for £16m. Dani Osvaldo looks to be off too, Inter are keen. All this will leave Ronald Koeman with a fair amount of cash to spend (in theory), some of which will go on Norwich's Leroy Fer, whom he used to manage at Feyenoord. There's still talk of Celtic defender Virgil van Dijk as well.
Arturo Vidal to Man Utd might be back on again, with the Reds maybe getting a £48m bid ready. Then again, they might not be, but it certainly seems more realistic than the £79m they've apparently been quoted for Kevin Strootman, who's injured til January, and isn't that good. Angel Di Maria would choose Manchester over Paris given half a chance and is available for £45m but it doesn't look like the Stefan Di Vriij deal will be happening, he's off to Lazio.
Just because Jose Mourinho doesn't want Romelu Lukaku that doesn't necessarily mean he'll let Real Madrid have him instead, does it? Atletico and Juventus are also keen, and less of a threat.
Jan Vertonghen wants a new deal at Spurs, so probably won't be rocking up at Barcelona, Sunderland are chasing Atletico winger Cristian Rodriguez and Sheffield United have accepted Hull's bid for Harry Maguire, which was made last week. Hull had forgotten about it and aren't really sure what to do now.
